Love the atmosphere – the F1 circus rolls in.
Permanent smile on my face.

What a day! OK it was Friday practice but F1 is a completely different spectacle to what you see on TV.
I can’t get over the sound of the exhaust note from these machines.
Where do I begin? I’m currently sitting in the Castle Hotel in the restaurant writing this post with a glass of Merlot in my left hand and a window on my left with the Brecon beacons outside catching the last rays of sunshine as the sun sets on another glorious day.
Work has brought me west but I’m enjoying my time here nonetheless. Being away from home is not something you go out of your way to do for a long period of time but in this part of the world you put it out of your mind given the sheer natural beauty of the countryside.
Being an Australian living in Britain I miss eating good (relatively cheap) red meat. So having eaten a (relatively cheap compared to London priced) Welsh sirloin I am loving life that little bit more.
“Sir – did you feel like dessert?” Don’t mind if I do….
Isle of Wight Festival – booked – unbelievable line-up (Crowded House, The Strokes, Jay-Z, oh and Paul McCartney)
Hard Rock Calling – Hyde Park – booked
V-Festival – Weston Park - locked-in – thanks Jono – sold out! The BEST line-up of a festival I have ever seen!
Can I just say this is going to be an AWESOME summer… just to think that we’ve got Croatia locked in as well!
Fantastic time in Porto last weekend – really enjoyed ourselves. We were laughing on the way back as we hadn’t realised until getting on the internet at the airport before heading back to London that we were so lucky that the MASSIVE storm that hit France over the weekend just missed us in Portugal. No wonder it was really windy!
Tasted some beautiful port while we were there and the seafood is to die for. Would be an amazing destination in the summer – very recommended.
After I get over this cold I am determined to get out of Dodge for the weekend! It’s been such a cold January so bring on February! We’ve booked Bruges for May, but Marrakech for Easter should be great. I think the winter will be play-time with ‘Waiting for Godot‘ and ‘Warhorse‘ booked in – should be great.
Well despite the rain Amsterdam turned it on. Supperclub was sensational last night!
Canals, museums, red light districts, bars… It’s got it all.
Great weekend – I could just do without the rain. Give it to people who really need it – like Aussies who actually live in Australia.
Battersea this afternoon. A couple of glasses of red and I was a happy boy with the Blues beating Man U at the Bridge.
Touch wood everything is going OK. Looking forward to Christmas and New Year. All I can think about is a warm few weeks at the end of the year before submitting myself to the northern winter yet again.
Roll on Aus, Roll on!
Supper Club locked in… hotel locked in…
Should be an awesome weekend away.
It’s been a quiet weekend… not too much happening on the home front, planning the next holiday to the Netherlands though. Also counting down to the 10k race. I really want to build up to a marathon by the end of next year. Hockey starts in the UK towards the end of this month so I’m keen to get into it…
