Don’t Worry – I’m Still Here

Just thought I might give you an update where I’m at before I head off to work.

Katherine and I got back from Prague on Monday after having a fantastic long weekend. I’m loving the 4-day week now. Prague was a mish-mash of architecture but nonetheless beautiful.

We stayed close to Charles Bridge for those who have been there. We truly did walk through the post card on the first night with the Prague Castle in the background. It was just stunning.

I will endeavour to have the photos up soon so you can see what I’m talking about.

All in all a great trip and I’m looking forward to the next one soon. I must say that I’m now refreshed and have lost the cynicism I had picked up from ’somewhere’. I caught myself saying some peculiar things to a good friend of mine which she thought was a bit out of character. Good news is that I’ve ’snapped out of it’ and got back to being my old self again.

Take care everyone.

The Beginning

Finishing work last Friday was a different experience – something that I hadn’t experienced before. When the glass door on Level 12 shut behind me – it signalled the end of an era. I’ve worked with some great people over my time there.

Katherine and I headed to Adelaide on Saturday morning by car – yes that’s right, by car. The road trip was a 9 hour journey – it wasn’t bad – just a little tired come midnight. All in all Adelaide is a pretty, well-planned little city.

After coming back from Adelaide on Tuesday night, our hot-air balloon flight on Wednesday morning was magical. When I get some time I will be putting the photos up so you can see what a magical experience it is up 1000 feet in the air suspended from cables connected to a massive 200,000 cubic metres of air.

Stay safe.

A Change

Well this site was the brainchild of a friend of mine. I’d been looking at various blogging sites around, but none appealed to me nor gave me the control I was looking for. So after the “push” to go the hosted site option, I’m operational in a few quick clicks. I really thought it would be too much effort but hosting has changed since 1997. The name of the game is point and click administration.

Once I go on my travels this site will come into it’s own. I’ve employed the use of my Flickr account to provide me with photo sharing community that will link directly into this site and it’s blog interface.

So.. sit back and wait. You may want to add my site to your RSS feeds to see whether anything has changed.
