It’s Friday evening and I’m sitting in my sister and her husband’s living room thinking what London life will be like. I’m a bit down this week as I wanted the phone to ring a bit more than it did both on the job front and the accomodation front. I’m impatient – a typical Gen Y thing I guess – I just want everything to happen now so that I can settle into a routine again. I’m ready for my eight week sojourn to finish. I’ve had a heap of fun and Katherine and I haven’t bitten each other’s heads off in that time. We worked out that we’ve spent more time together consecutively than we ever had in our relationship – usually we’ve had work to break us up.
Bring on London.. don’t get me wrong as my old boss says, ‘life is good’ at the moment.
Savour the moment. All too soon, you will be swamped with work and will not have time to work out if you are Arthur or Martha.
Hey mate, I agree with AliG. Enjoy the down side as well, and keep an eye on the positive. All too soon, you’ll be working your butt off and complaining that you’re earning so much money, and don’t have any time to spend it!
Listen to it, “poor me I’m swanning around having a good time and not doing any work in London”. Try sitting in Melbourne and facing work everyday with no end in sight.
Nobody should sook cos they’re not working.
I understand the frustration of routine. Georgie’s brother is voer here and going through the same upos and downs of trying to find a place to stay.
See you tomorrow for the Football Goldie… and a few pints of course.
